As their lips met in a soft kiss all the anger slowly draining away as they made up the only way they both knew how.
Before either of them knew what was happening hands seemed to be everywhere, clothing falling unceremoniously to the floor. His teeth nipped at her neck before digging into the skin, finally biting into her and feeding off her blood.
Adrienne felt his hands wrap around her neck the air leaving her lungs in an instant, staring fearfully into his crimson eyes. A soft squeak emitted from her pink lips when her legs left the ground; dangling in the air.
“How dare you! I can’t believe you cheated on me…” Lucas snarled his teeth bore in anger.
The moment she walked in the door Adrienne knew that the demon already knew what had happened. Somehow he’d found out, following her upstairs as their bickering continued.
“I can’t believe you cheated on me again!” Lucas growled in his anger.
“I didn’t mean to cheat on you, I can explain!”
When she got to work Adrienne was desperate to get her mind off anything to do with Lucas, still feeling the overwhelming guilt of cheating on him with one of her patients; another demon. She worked late into the night and eventually fell asleep on the couch in her office, too afraid to face him and reveal the truth.
